VA Benefits Advisor - Hanscom, MA

Responsibilities

• Conduct standardized VA Benefits and Services Briefings
• Deliver one-on-one engagements
• Provide pre-separation counseling support
• Support military life cycle (MLC) events
• Deliver Capstone events
• Offer warm-handover support
• Deliver established curriculum
• Use training tools
• Ensure course content and delivery methods align with established training objectives
• Participate in weekly Site Lead meetings
• Execute quality management activities
• Collect post-event data
• Travel as needed

Requirements

• Understand and apply adult learning theories
• Have experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools
• Show strong customer management and support skills
• Have experience delivering interactive workshops and training to live audiences

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or have 3 years of equivalent work or military experience
• Have an appropriate certification
• Have knowledge of VA benefits programs
• Have experience working with military clients
• Have understanding of current veteran issues and challenges

Skills

• Understanding of transitioning Service member populations
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite of tools
• Strong customer management and support skills
• Experience delivering interactive workshops and training to live audiences

Benefits

The budgeted salary for this position is $20.32 an hour plus additional health and wellness payment. This is an SCA contract.
