About the role
This part‑time non‑benefited position will work 29 hours a week.
Responsibilities
- Educate and train employers to implement nationally recognized best practices in recruiting, hiring, and retaining highly skilled and dependable Veterans.
- Communicate, train, and provide resources to employers and associations to help them connect to Veterans, Transitioning Service Members (TSMs), Military Spouses, and Military Dependents.
- Manage administrative, planning, scheduling, operational and diverse programmatic activities.
- Manage multiple programs and/or projects simultaneously.
- Manage a large portfolio of clients over an extended amount of time.
- Interact with diverse constituencies and inter‑agency government officials to discuss administrative matters, develop, and implement administrative policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including state and local government.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to manage administrative, planning, scheduling, operational and diverse programmatic activities.
- Ability to manage multiple programs and/or projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a large portfolio of clients over an extended amount of time.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with diverse constituencies and inter‑agency government officials to discuss administrative matters, develop, and implement administrative policies and procedures.
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders to include state and local government.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Prior experience providing training and instruction to adult learners.
- Knowledge of best practices in recruiting, hiring, and retaining members of the military community.
Additional Considerations
- Background in social services, business, public administration, education or combination of education and job experience.
- Experience in research, public policy, public administration, business, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to build relationships and foster collaboration.
- Experience presenting to a variety of audiences.
Pay
$29 per hour.
