UX/UI Designer

We provide a comprehensive range of currency services and products, including our Currency Converter, Market Analysis, Currency Data API and quick, easy, secure Money Transfers for individuals and businesses. We leverage technology to deliver these services through our website, mobile app and by phone. Last year, we helped over 300 million people access information about the currencies that matter to them and over 225,000 people used us to send money overseas. About This Role We're looking for a part-time contract UX designer to take existing wireframe direction for a set of key pages and turn it into production-ready design, working directly with in-house developers on handoff. This is focused, hands-on execution work rather than a broad design-strategy mandate. We contribute to our community Roles & Responsibilities Turn existing wireframes and page direction into polished, production-ready Figma designsDesign and iterate on key transactional page templates (for example, currency converter and send money flows) with a focus on usability and conversionCollaborate directly with in-house developers on implementation and handoff, resolving design questions as they buildBuild reusable content-block patterns, such as a rotating value-proposition banner, that other pages can reuseFlag usability issues or opportunities as you work, even outside the immediate page scopeRun lightweight usability testing or user research on the pages you design, and use what you learn to inform iterationsLook at user behavior and conversion data for the pages you own to spot friction points worth addressing Position Requirements 5+ years of UX/UI design experience, ideally with production handoff to developers, not just concept workStrong Figma skills: components, auto layout, prototypingA portfolio that shows shipped, production work, not just conceptsComfort working from existing wireframes or direction rather than starting from a blank pageBasic familiarity with HTML/CSS, enough to have informed conversations with developers about feasibilityExperience designing for conversion, forms, checkout-style flows, or similar transactional UIComfort analyzing user behavior or research data and turning it into concrete design decisions, not just intuitionExperience conducting usability testing, user interviews, or similar lightweight researchA working understanding of SEO and AEO fundamentals, enough to design pages that support rather than conflict with search and AI-answer visibility work happening in parallel Nice to have Financial services or fintech experienceExperience with design systems or component librariesFamiliarity with a product analytics tool such as AmplitudeFamiliarity with AI-assisted design tools (e.g. Figma AI) for faster integrationist design tools (e.g. Figma AI) for faster iteration Perks & Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance401K Plan with MatchEmployee Stock Purchase PlanPaid Vacation / Sick LeaveHybrid Work ScheduleTuition AssistanceGrowth OpportunitiesCorporate gatherings, team bonding events, and much more!Plumm Mental Health and Wellbeing Volunteering day for a charity of your choice XE offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
