We are seeking an experienced UX/Product Designer to support the discovery and design of user-centered digital experiences within a retail environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing retail/e-commerce websites and be comfortable working with data, analytics, dashboards, and business intelligence concepts.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders, end users, product, and technical teams to identify user needs and business requirements.
- Plan and support user discovery activities, including interviews, workshops, usability sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
- Create low-fidelity wireframes, user flows, journey maps, prototypes, and reusable UX patterns.
- Rapidly communicate design concepts and incorporate stakeholder and user feedback.
- Design intuitive experiences for complex information, including dashboards, reports, analytics, and data-driven workflows.
- Apply data visualization and information architecture principles to improve how users consume insights.
- Contribute to design systems, reusable components, and UX pattern libraries.
- Work effectively in early-stage discovery environments where requirements may be incomplete or evolving.
- Collaborate across business, design, product, engineering, and data teams.
- Translate complex business and technical requirements into clear, usable experiences.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in UX Design, Product Design, Service Design, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on retail/e-commerce website design experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience creating low-fidelity wireframes, journey maps, user flows, prototypes, and UX patterns.
- Experience conducting or supporting user research, discovery sessions, interviews, usability testing, or workshops.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design and UX methodologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to translate between business stakeholders, end users, designers, and technical teams.
- Familiarity with data visualization principles and designing experiences involving dashboards, reports, analytics, or insights.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, early-stage discovery environments.
- Must be able to consistently work EST business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a retail, catalog, e-commerce, or consumer-facing organization.
- Understanding of retail domains such as merchandising, e-commerce, supply chain, catalog/product management, or store operations.
- Experience with analytics and BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Experience designing data-intensive or analytics-focused products.
- Experience contributing to design systems or reusable pattern libraries.
- Exposure to organizational design or capability-building initiatives, including role definitions or team structures.
Pay
$60–$65/hr, with some flexibility
Schedule
Must work EST hours. Candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone will receive first consideration.
