Amazon Customer Service User Experience Studio is seeking a UX Designer to improve the operational tools that anticipate customer needs and continuously enable associates to solve real-world challenges before they even reach customers. Our studio is made up of a team of smart, passionate designers, user researchers, UX writers, UX program managers, product managers, and developers to drive a design process that always works backward from the customer.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of design experience
  • Have an available online portfolio
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, interactive design, or equivalent
  • Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar
  • Experience in delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
  • Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps
  • Experience in visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides
  • Experience prototyping (HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Flash or Flash Catalyst, or Axure)

Key job responsibilities

  • Build end-to-end designs for a brand new customer service tools, from concept to launch
  • Partner with product, engineering, and research teams to deliver impactful solutions
  • Participate in design reviews and workshops to align stakeholders on UX direction and delivery
  • Create user interfaces that reveal meaningful patterns to users
  • Experiment with innovative tools and UX best practices

A Day in the Life

You'll partner closely with product managers, engineers, UX researchers, and operations leaders to deliver cohesive solutions and scalable mechanisms that increase collaboration between partners. You will present and defend design decisions to senior designers and project leadership, ensuring prioritized outcomes through design excellence.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
