  • Design interaction patterns, flows, and layouts optimized for touch and real-world mobile contexts.
  • Maintain and evolve the mobile app Figma component library with platform-appropriate patterns.
  • Create interactive prototypes for mobile usability testing (on-device validation).
  • Partner closely with mobile engineering on feasibility, platform conventions, and implementation specs.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers on feature prioritization, activation metrics, and mobile roadmap.
  • Contribute mobile-first thinking to responsive web patterns and email templates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, interactive design, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer.
  • Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar.
  • Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.
  • Online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices.
  • Expertise in designing for AI and Generative AI experiences, and portfolio examples of AI powered interface design, including conversational and predictive AI experiences.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design.
  • Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar.

Skills

  • Applying iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material Design conventions appropriately.
  • Designing for platform-specific capabilities (Dynamic Island, Live Activities, Widgets, SF Symbols on iOS; Material 3, predictive back, adaptive layouts on Android).
  • Accounting for device constraints: safe areas, thumb zones, reachability, touch targets, and one-handed usage.
  • Designing for mobile-specific contexts: interruptions, low connectivity, battery limitations, outdoor usage, walking usage, and short attention spans.
  • Leveraging native device features (camera, QR scanning, GPS, biometrics, calendar integration, wallet passes) where they improve the experience.
  • Designing onboarding and activation flows (first-run experience, progressive onboarding, permission requests, time-to-value optimization).
  • Designing notification strategy and in-app messaging aligned with user lifecycle stages.
  • Designing for returning sessions, state preservation, and multi-device continuity.
  • Defining mobile-specific UX success metrics (activation rate, session depth, retention, task completion).
  • Designing AI-powered mobile interactions including conversational UX, personalized recommendations, and predictive actions.
  • Designing for AI transparency, confidence indicators, and graceful error recovery on mobile.
  • Maintaining and evolving the mobile app component library in Figma.
  • Defining adaptive components, responsive behavior, and theme support (including dark mode).
  • Documenting mobile-specific patterns with usage guidance and implementation specs.
  • Aligning mobile components to Aura design system tokens and standards.

  • Conducting competitive analysis of mobile app experiences and emerging platform patterns.
  • Iterating rapidly based on beta testing feedback and A/B experiment results.
  • Applying mobile behavioral psychology (cognitive load management, Fitts' Law, progressive disclosure, recognition over recall).
  • Contributing mobile-first thinking to responsive web patterns and email templates.
