About the role

At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow." Our Interaction Designers transform complex tasks into intuitive, easy-to-use experiences for billions of people. From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end UX execution for features that help SMBs start and survive their first year.
  • Apply design methods and processes to create and improve consistent, user-driven outcomes.
  • Identify and communicate problems within your projects.
  • Dissect problems deeply and bring your own strong, informed opinions on practical or creative ways to fix them.
  • Create delightful, consistent Google Ads experiences that meet customers where they are, navigating cross-functional project constraints so your designs live natively within various platforms.
  • Craft your own content and copy, leveraging internal tools and AI to enhance your productivity and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications

  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in designing for AI-driven or conversational scenarios, as well as utilizing AI tools to streamline your own design workflow (e.g., accelerating prototyping or synthesizing workshops).
  • Ability to manage priorities across multiple engineering teams and time zones, effectively collaborating to align on expectations and project goals.
  • Ability to analyze situations from a broader system level, with the potential and desire to lead complex product redesigns (like a future Onebox overhaul).

Benefits

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $132000 - $190000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
