About the role
The UX Designer at Peter Millar is responsible for designing user-centered ecommerce experiences for the Peter Millar and G/FORE US and UK websites. This role involves translating business goals and user needs into intuitive digital experiences.
Responsibilities
- Assist with end-to-end UX design for assigned initiatives – from discovery to concepting through wireframes, prototypes and final designs
- Partner closely with internal/external developers and other team members to ensure designs are implemented as intended
- Contribute to and maintain UX design standards, patterns, and documentation to ensure consistency across experiences
- Ensure all internally designed UX projects meet website accessibility (WCAG) requirements
- Participate in competitive analysis to find opportunities and make recommendations which increase revenue, optimize site usability, and increase sell-through rate
- Take part in UX reviews, workshops, and critiques with cross-functional partners
- Advocate for user-centered thinking while incorporating technical and business constraints
Requirements
- 3+ years of UX design experience with a strong focus on website or digital platform design
- Experience with Figma is required
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence is preferred
- Experience designing responsive apparel ecommerce websites strongly preferred
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human-Computer Interaction, UX/Interactive Design, Graphic Design or related experience
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design
