UX Designer, Amazon Alexa for Shopping

About the role

We're seeking a talented UX designer to contribute to the innovation team behind Amazon's generative AI-powered assistant in the store, Alexa for Shopping. Alexa for Shopping makes it easy for customers to find and discover products by helping with product research, providing comparisons and recommendations, answering specific product questions, and more.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with product and research to define a shared vision, grounded in deep customer data analysis.
• Rapidly produce flows, wireframes, design prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interactions.
• Advocate for design excellence, raising the bar for quality.
• Develop and maintain detailed UI specifications while meeting accessibility standards.
• Present and defend design recommendations to stakeholders and leadership for review, feedback, and approval.
• Work with technology teams to build efficiently, without compromising core experience principles.
• Continually learn and grow your skills in design craft, generative AI, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design experience
• Preferred: 4+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience
