Sr. UX Designer, Alexa Enterprise and Emerging Design

About the role

We're seeking an innovative Sr. UX Designer to join us in expanding Alexa's capabilities that help people lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. In this role, you'll work with a blend of visual and voice interfaces to help customers access the information and services they need to be at their best—transforming technology used at home and on the go into intuitive, personal experiences.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the end-to-end design process for complex features and products.
• Develop early-stage concepts that help stakeholders and leaders deeply understand the customer experience while collaborating with engineers throughout the design process.
• Routinely partner with designers across Alexa to both adopt and extend existing design systems.
• Contribute to Figma libraries and share what you've learned with your peers.
• Incorporate insights from relevant Alexa research, conduct hallway testing, and participate in user research to inform and validate your decisions.
• Possess strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with peer designers, product and tech owners, marketing, solutions architects, and business development to ensure the customer remains at the center of our decision-making.
• Design net-new concepts that make life more enjoyable for our customers, dream up new ways of solving long-standing problems, and partner with solutions architects, tech teams, and business development to refine our product offerings and secure new commitments from our business partners.
• Operate with autonomy to grow and challenge yourself while being supported by a collaborative design team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design experience
• Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature
• Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UX design of complex workflows
• Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps
• Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

• USA, CA, Sunnyvale: $156,400.00 - $211,600.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Seattle: $137,800.00 - $186,400.00 USD annually
