About the role
This is a 3 Month leave of absence assignment with a possible small extension. Partnering with Aquent, we support a globally recognized innovator at the forefront of shaping future experiences. Responsibilities
- Synthesize complex user experience research and design iterations into cohesive, persuasive narratives that directly align with business objectives.
- Present high-stakes narratives to executive-level stakeholders, translating technical challenges or user friction into clear opportunities for groundbreaking innovation.
- Act as a lead within the design organization, actively mentoring junior designers and researchers on effective communication strategies for their work.
- Apply an ethnographic perspective to deeply understand how products integrate into the daily rituals and cultural contexts of users.
- Develop and deliver high-fidelity presentations, “vision films,” or interactive walkthroughs that vividly illustrate the future state of user journeys.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in UX Research or UX Design, with a proven ability to contribute to product development from inception.
- Demonstrated leadership experience (Lead or Principal level), including project management, defending design decisions, and building consensus among diverse opinions.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex data points or interaction models into clear business value while preserving the essence of the user’s experience.
- A portfolio showcasing mastery in storytelling, including compelling case studies that highlight the “why,” vision decks, or video narratives.
- Expertise in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) and presentation software.
- A proven track record of influencing product roadmaps through the power of strategic storytelling.
Qualifications
- Background in a specific industry focused on complex physical and digital user experiences, particularly those involving intricate human-product interfaces and unique personal environments.
- An academic background in Anthropology, Sociology, or Behavioral Science, fostering a deep understanding of users as individuals within cultural systems, beyond mere personas.
