About the role
The McKimmon Conference and Training Center (MCTC) reports to the Continuing & Professional Education Director. MCTC has 33,000 square feet of meeting space and assists with set-ups, exhibits, educational event gatherings, catering, and printing services which include shipping and receiving, and can provide 650 spaces of free parking. MCTC works with campus partners, private/corporate business industry, and local, state, and federal government. Responsibilities
- Planning and Preparation: The Logistics Manager/Co-Crew Leader will provide the Event Prep set-up instructions via Social Tables, clients, or coordinators for each space. Ensure precise collaboration and accuracy in setting up event spaces are complete. Manage all logistics and manage all scheduling concerns. Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Post-Event: Break down all of the equipment and place the equipment (chairs/tables) in the storage area.
- Other Work/Responsibilities: Occasional specialized duties may include Audio/Visual technical assistance and operation of specialized equipment as training allows.
Requirements and Preferences
- Minimum Experience/Education: High School graduate or GED equivalent. This job requires the ability to lift 90 pounds regularly and involves extensive standing throughout the shift. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure. Exceptional work performance and professional conduct throughout your employment are essential. Excellent attention to detail.
- Work Schedule: Flexible hours, M-F, 3:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. or as needed. Hours will vary as the schedule changes, occasionally late evenings and weekends. Up to 29 hours a week.
