About the role
The Utility Worker II - Water Distribution position plays a crucial role in maintaining the water distribution systems within the city. This role involves performing various tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair water distribution systems.
- Respond to emergency calls and perform urgent repairs.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on water distribution equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in water distribution or similar field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and climbing.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of water distribution systems and plumbing.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
