Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours/week
Shift: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM. Varied Days. Weekends and holidays required.

$21.00 – $23.00 per hour + bonuses + annual pay increases

About the Role
The Utility Worker performs a number of kitchen activities including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and nonfood supplies.
Responsibilities
- Cleans kitchen thoroughly daily, including mopping floors at designated times.
- Sets up the dish and pot washing area, and washes pots, dishes and utensils.
- Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes and utensils.
- Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Empties all trash containers in kitchen into dumpster daily.
- Keeps storerooms, freezers and refrigerators clean.
- Mops floors at designated times.
- Stores food and non-food supplies, restocking provisions after deliveries.
- Limited preparations of vegetables and provisions in time of need under direct supervision.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- At least one year experience cleaning commercial kitchens.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Ability to set up and operate dish washing equipment.
- This position is essential to the safety of our residents and staff; and to the operation and function of the community. Employee may be recalled to report to work for an emergency, unusual occurrence, resident care need, visit from regulatory/governing agencies or any other event deemed necessary by the Executive Director, Administrator, and designee.
Qualifications
- Reliable and follows safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.
- Ability to multitask, work on projects while answering phone and greeting visitors.
- Must display a friendly, courteous and helpful attitude toward the residents and the public.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Able to perform simple mathematics and basic knowledge of computer programs.
- High School graduate and heavy phone experience preferred.
- Current driver’s license.
- Legally Authorized to work in the United States.
