Utility Workers
Responsibilities
- Assists in various stages of production process, including mixing, blending, pouring, and packaging chemicals and chemical products.
- Records required information on the batch sheet.
- Reviews drumming sheets. Locates drums, kegs, totes, and pails as needed for orders. Transports items to filling area via forklift.
- Performs quality control checks on raw materials, intermediate products and finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation related to production activities and quality control checks.
- Performs activities to safely clean, secure and maintain equipment and work areas as required. Participate in housekeeping in the facility according to 5S.
- Fulfills safety requirements, including following all work instructions, SOP’s, and safety rules, including use of all proper PPE and other safety equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required. Candidates with 3 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
- Previous experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Basic math skills required.
- Good problem-solving ability; makes efficient use of time within shift directives.
- Ability to be trained and safely operate a forklift to transport raw materials and finished goods between departments and warehouses. Minimum 1 year experience.
- Works well within a team and able to follow specific directions.
- Punctuality and excellent attendance are expected and required.
- Ability to meet physical demands of a fast-paced work environment.

Pay
- $21.00/hr base pay ($1.50/hr premium for 3rd shift); annual increase reviews
Schedule
- 1st Shift: 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
- 3rd Shift: 9:00 pm - 5:30 am
