Utility Worker

About the role

Walbec Group is seeking a Utility Worker to support the concrete plant and pre-cast facility operations. This position may also perform Ready-mix and Aggregate Driver responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Load concrete plant aggregate bins in support of concrete production and aggregate and ready-mix delivery trucks as directed.
• Operate related equipment effectively, such as loader, forklift, skidsteer, and other hand and power tools.
• Participate in general plant, yard, and vehicle cleanliness and maintenance as directed by supervisor.
• Assist customers with retail product purchases.
• Work safely and participate in safety efforts including identifying and reporting unsafe conditions and/or safety policy violations and participating in safety meetings/training.
• Assist in daily truck maintenance including, DOT daily service inspection, fueling, greasing, and cleaning mixing drum.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions (oral and written) and effectively communicate.

Schedule

Hours are typically Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed.
