Utility Worker
About the role
The Utility Worker is responsible for performing basic vehicle servicing duties, maintaining the cleanliness of fleet vehicles, driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles, fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids. This position also involves downloading drive cameras & probes, fare boxes, performing light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities, reporting maintenance issues to supervisors, and performing other duties as required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
- Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles
- Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids
- Downloading drive cameras & probes, fare boxes
- Performing light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities
- Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor
- Performing other duties as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
- Customer service-oriented and dedicated to safety
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable

Benefits
- Vacation: minimum of 80 hours
- Sick days: Employees will accrue paid sick leave at a rate that complies with Colorado law, up to 48 hours per year

Pay
Competitive compensation package of minimum $16.00/hr – Maximum $16.55/hr.

Flexible work schedule as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions - 100% of the job is performed outside
- Frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
- Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job
- Tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise
