Utility Worker

About the role

Palm Tran seeks a Utility Worker to perform various service labor tasks, including hoisting, gassing, lubricating, and cleaning vehicles and equipment. This role does not involve supervising others but may provide guidance to new employees.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service Palm Tran coaches, vehicles, and related service areas.
• Perform janitorial and/or industrial cleaning duties.
• Maintain building and grounds.
• Operate a transit bus, twenty-two (22) + passenger bus, or heavy equipment (as specified).

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or equivalent recognized certification/GED.
• Valid Class E Driver's License (with paid training for those without).
• Six (6) months of related work experience in janitorial and/or industrial cleaning duties.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with Passenger (P) endorsement, or CDL Learner's Permit with Passenger (P) endorsement (specify on application).
• Recent experience (within the past five years) operating a transit bus, twenty-two (22) + passenger bus, or heavy equipment.
