Utility Worker

About the role

General manual labor position at a mill facility. The role requires a strong commitment to safety and quality, active engagement in all aspects of work, and the ability to interact well with the team.

Responsibilities

• Perform general manual labor tasks, including picking up paper, sweeping floors, and cleaning with various hand tools
• Shovel materials and handle chemicals
• Operate a core cutting machine to cut cores
• Operate a forklift to move loose paper, empty dump hoppers, transport paper rolls, and pallets
• Perform all other labor and general utility work as assigned
• Read a tape measure

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to work in hot, cold, and dirty environments
• Must adhere to a tobacco-free facility policy (no smoking, chewing, e-cigs, or snuff anywhere on company property, including parking lots and grounds)

Prior forklift experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
