Utility Worker - AK Airlines Lounge (Pay DOE + Benefits) - Anchorage, AK

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or loads them into a commercial dishwasher.
• Cleans worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans, and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated disposal areas.
• Moves supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas, such as the pantry and dish room.
• Cleans equipment using specified chemicals to meet sanitary standards.
• Polishes silverware.
• Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service trainings.
• Reports accidents and injuries promptly.
• Follows all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
• Attends designated training programs (classroom and virtual).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• The ability to work rotating shifts and varying schedules including holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business dictates.
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Ability to pass SIDA Badge test, which includes an assessment of knowledge related to airport security protocols, access control procedures, and safety regulations in secure and restricted areas.
• Ability to obtain an Alaska AOA Badge.

• Weather: Environmentally controlled; requires most or all work to be done indoors, occasionally exposed to the outdoor weather.
• Noise level: Moderate to Loud.
• Pace of work environment: Medium.
• Description of environment: Alaska Airlines Lounge. This is an airport kitchen setting.
• Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. and/or 50 lbs. Frequently to constantly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
