Responsibilities
- Washes dishes by hand or loads them into a commercial dishwasher.
- Cleans worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
- Sweeps, mops, cleans, and vacuums floors.
- Removes trash and garbage to designated disposal areas.
- Moves supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas, such as the pantry and dish room.
- Cleans equipment using specified chemicals to meet sanitary standards.
- Polishes silverware.
- Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service trainings.
- Reports accidents and injuries promptly.
- Follows all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
- Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
- Attends designated training programs (classroom and virtual).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- The ability to work rotating shifts and varying schedules including holidays, weekends, and extended hours as business dictates.
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Ability to pass SIDA Badge test, which includes an assessment of knowledge related to airport security protocols, access control procedures, and safety regulations in secure and restricted areas.
- Ability to obtain an Alaska AOA Badge.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Weather: Environmentally controlled; requires most or all work to be done indoors, occasionally exposed to the outdoor weather.
- Noise level: Moderate to Loud.
- Pace of work environment: Medium.
- Description of environment: Alaska Airlines Lounge. This is an airport kitchen setting.
- Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. and/or 50 lbs. Frequently to constantly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
