Utility Worker - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Operate machinery used in production processes or assist machine operators.
• Place products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, and wrapping.
• Examine products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Start machines or equipment to begin production processes.
• Observe equipment operations to detect malfunctions and notify supervisors or maintenance personnel.
• Remove products or waste material from machines.
• Transfer finished product, raw materials between storage and work areas of the plant by hand or using forklift.
• Pack and store materials and products.
• Mark and tag products.
• Dump materials into machine hoppers prior to mixing.
• Mix ingredients according to specified procedures or formulas.
• May be asked to perform other duties at a lower or higher level or proficiency, or unrelated to this classification.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED.
• Willingness and ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, crawl, and lift items in a fast-paced environment with possible slippery surfaces.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge, implementation, and delegation of FSMS responsibilities as required.

Skills

• Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring lifting and moving of materials.
• Attention to detail for quality control.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
