Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Sets up correct number of cartons on skids in the right configuration.
- Provides packaging line with necessary quantities of secondary packaging materials to maintain continuous operations.
- Completes assigned documentation accurately and promptly.
- Verifies and confirms the accuracy and readability of all case codes and dates during their shift.
- Fulfills HACCP and food safety standards, ensuring compliance with critical control points and preventive quality checkpoints.
- Reports food safety and quality issues and initiates appropriate actions when necessary.
- Follows all food safety guidelines, including GMP, allergen program, quality, HACCP, sanitation, and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum six months experience in production or a related role in a manufacturing environment.
- No supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math calculations and measurements.
- Basic reading and speaking skills in English.
- Manual dexterity for manipulating hand jacks and sufficient strength to lift up to 30 pounds intermittently.
- Understanding of SQF program and other food safety policies.
- Ability to use basic tools and make simple mechanical adjustments.
- Willingness to work in hot, humid, and noisy environments.
- Willingness to work independently with minimal instructions.
- Willingness to work some weekends and overtime as needed.
- Adherence to GMP procedures.
- Record keeping, communication, and correction of out-of-control conditions.
- Reading and understanding basic flow charts.
- Wearing all required protective equipment.
- Compliance with food and human safety rules and regulations.
- Physical Demands: Sitting 5%, walking 35%, standing 60%, stooping and bending 60%, fingering for computer keyboards, hearing ordinary conversations, speaking ordinary speech, lifting and carrying up to 70 lbs., exposure to fluorescent lights, climbing stairs and ladders, extreme climate or climate variations, heat up to 100 degrees and lows of 40 degrees, rotating and oscillating equipment changes of >30 degrees within a shift, near acuity (clarity of vision at 20 inches or less), humidity, conveyor, elevator, and lift, compressed air and live steam lines.
