Utility/Water/Wastewater Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the design of water/wastewater and other civil engineering projects
• Evaluating and analyzing existing projects
• Coordinating with multiple utility owners, SCDOT, NCDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies
• Preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects
• Preparing design computations and quantity estimates
• Developing construction cost estimates for projects within the department

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering or similar discipline from an accredited college or university
• At least 2 years of relevant design experience

Skills

• AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation software experience
• 2+ years of relevant experience in utility coordination/relocation design
• Municipal/Water Resources engineering experience
• EIT certification
