Utility Solutions Architect
Position Overview
The Utility Solutions Architect plays a crucial role in empowering utilities to innovate, modernize, and serve communities more reliably and sustainably. The role involves bridging the gap between engineering, operations, IT teams, Eaton digital products, and third-party technology providers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution
Minimum seven (7) years of deep domain experience using, developing, and deploying software for utilities
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Five plus (5+) years of technical sales experience with contemporary software technologies
Five plus (5+) years of consultative software selling experience to executive and technical buyers in the utility industry
Skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship
Fluent with emerging utility industry trends and implications on customers
Technology leadership, self-motivated, and drive to work with internal Eaton and external stakeholders
Collaborative with the ability to develop long-term working relationships with the utility software product management directors, product managers, delivery, and engineering teams
Strategic business acumen and complex problem-solving skills in a highly matrixed organization
Excellent client/customer-facing skills with the ability to represent Eaton’s digitalization/software journey with customers
Ability to travel up to 25%
