As a Utility Associate, you’ll keep the operation moving with pride through sanitation, dishwashing, stocking, receiving, and kitchen support. Responsibilities
- Washing, sanitizing, and maintenance of food production equipment and service ware as determined by the supervisor and cleaning schedule.
- Removal of trash and waste to a designated location as directed by the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area following supervisor instructions and applicable health, safety, and food handling regulations.
- Receive, unpack, unwrap, rotate, and stow deliveries into appropriate refrigerators, freezers, and storerooms per supervisor’s instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including washing equipment, receiving/distributing deliveries, proper sanitation of the kitchen and dining room, trash removal, and floor maintenance.
- Adhere to client and company protocols related to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service in a courteous, helpful, and friendly manner.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Lifting and moving of food, food containers, and other non-food items from floor position to no higher than one’s own height.
- School or institutional food-service experience is preferred.
- Bilingual candidates are welcome; communicative English is required.
- Must be able to tolerate hot and humid working conditions.
- Must be able to safely operate both a dish machine and three-bay sinks.
- This position includes both morning and evening shifts.
