We're growing and hiring operators in Milford, NH, Amherst, NH, and Seymour, CT.

Responsibilities

  • Always complies with company safety rules during working hours and ensures the safety of himself/herself and others at his/her operating station.
  • Responsible in keeping equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Works in a professional manner, punctual and highly dependable.
  • Mechanically sets up the line including installation of appropriate tooling and all auxiliary line equipment needed to produce varying cable designs described in the process instructions.
  • Consistently monitors the supply of raw material to ensure continuous operation.
  • Performs required measurements with company approved measuring devices to ensure.
  • Verifies the measuring devices are calibrated.
  • Visually inspect for damaged wires.
  • Performs cold welds of bare neutral wires to maintain spool operation.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping of all pertinent information required by Hendrix, including work center records.
  • Takes corrective action to ensure quality product.
  • Participates in scheduled team meetings and contributes to continuous improvement.
  • Participates in maintaining ISO certification.
  • Adheres to applicable System Level Procedures (SLPs) and Process Controls.

Requirements

  • Understanding of the basic neutral line operation including the line components associated with the processes.
  • Tools and measuring devices applicable to the industry.
  • A high school degree or GED required.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from the floor to chest.
  • Ability to maneuver roll (exert up to one hundred (100) pounds of force), spin and align reels up to a 90” safely.
  • Ability to exert thirty to fifty pounds of force with cable cutters.
  • Ability to visually inspect quality of product.
  • Ability to use handheld tools and measuring devices.
