Utility Operator

Role Overview

The Utility Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently performing operational tasks in a fast-paced industrial environment to support waste disposal processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is properly charged and maintain fuel levels in boilers and industrial machinery
• Mix, level, and supervise the handling of refuse in industrial pits
• Load ash and operate front-end loaders for refuse management
• Inspect delivered waste and determine disposal methods
• Monitor inbound/outbound truck traffic and supervise delivery activities
• Perform additional duties to promote safe and efficient operations

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Physical ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, lift/carry 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions
• Qualified to wear full-face respirator and work at heights or in confined spaces
