Utility Operator

About the role

Armstrong Service in partnership with R.J. Reynolds is currently interviewing for full-time Utility System Operator positions in Winston-Salem and King, NC.

Responsibilities

• Daily 24/7 operation and maintenance of high-pressure water-tube boilers
• Operation and maintenance of open and closed loop chiller and HVAC systems
• Operation and maintenance of compressed air and vacuum systems
• Ensuring reliable delivery of high-quality utilities and customer service

Requirements

• Safe behavior and self-motivation
• Flexibility in working shifts
• Good communication skills and a CAN DO attitude
• Basic mechanical and electrical skills to perform troubleshooting and repair
• Basic computer skills for logs and other communications
• Valid driver's license

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of utility systems operation experience (hands-on and distributed control systems experience preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent
