Utility Mechanic/Maintenance Technician

About the role

This is a full-time, 40 hour position working Wednesday-Friday 7am-3:30pm and Saturday/Sunday 8am-4pm. Ideal Candidate Mechanical experience preferred Ability to work independently Healthcare background preferred

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in the facility.
• Perform routine maintenance on utility systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair utility systems and equipment as needed.
• Cook up with contractors and vendors as needed for repairs and upgrades to utility systems.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed on utility systems.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Monitor utility systems performance and identify areas for improvement or upgrades.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Licenses and Credentials: Experience in the maintenance and repair of utility systems, preferably in a facility setting. 3-5 years required
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems and equipment. Familiarity with applicable regulatory requirements and safety standards. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Ability to operate and maintain various hand and power tools.
