Utility Maintenance Technician

About the role

Ellwood Crankshaft Group (ECG) is seeking a full-time Utility Maintenance Technician for their facility in Hermitage, PA. This position may require overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts, and may also involve on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Completing CNC and manual equipment preventative maintenance schedules by completing fluid, filter, and media refreshments
• Maintaining machine coolant condition and providing corrections as needed
• Ensuring machine preventative maintenance schedules are performed on a regular basis
• Performing preventative maintenance on mobile equipment and vehicles
• Assisting with other duties, assignments, and projects as required
• Operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment
• Supporting production personnel and providing periodic training for daily preventive maintenance activity

Requirements

• Intermediate knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Proven knowledge of mechanical and analytical skills demonstrated via an examination
• Proficiency with common hand and power tools
• Strong computer skills
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and machining equipment
• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license

Skills

• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Machine tool experience or manufacturing equipment working knowledge
• Preventative maintenance on machine tools
• Overhead cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment operation
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
