About the role

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and minor building maintenance. Ensure safe and efficient building operations while assisting maintenance mechanics in routine troubleshooting and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic preventative maintenance and routine repairs on various in-house systems to include conveyor, material handling equipment, tagging machines, storage equipment, vehicles, etc.
• Assists in troubleshooting and lubricates, adjusts, and replaces parts.
• Performs maintenance services in two or more skill areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical, heating, etc.
• May perform basic maintenance duties such as minor construction, landscaping, cleaning, etc.
• Assists maintenance mechanics in major equipment repairs, electrical repairs, and installations in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Requisitions new supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Performs special projects or duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or higher
• Vocational training in basic preventative maintenance is preferred
• Six months to one year of experience in a preventative maintenance capacity with demonstrated mechanical knowledge
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Flexibility with changing hours, demands, and priorities

Pay

This position has a starting pay range of $22.50 to $23.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
