Job Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Completes service request in a timely manner
  • Performs electrical maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs
  • Repairs restroom fixtures and other minor plumbing duties
  • Performs minor building equipment preventive maintenance
  • Repairs sheet rock and spackles
  • Spot paints common areas such as lobbies, freight elevator lobbies, restrooms, etc.
  • Maintains cleanliness in and around all Building Operations Services facilities also shops, boiler room, chiller room, electrical room, mechanical rooms, etc.
  • Paints equipment rooms and machinery
  • Receives deliveries for projects, controls moving & delivery crew’s use of elevators
  • Drives skills with up to 1-1/2-ton truck
  • Overtime and shift work maybe required
  • Safely use all types of related hand and power tools

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Three years building maintenance experience
  • Strength and dexterity to perform physically demanding duties as outlined
  • Valid driver’s license as required to drive any vehicles which may be assigned
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical of maintenance operations
  • Ability to safely wear a respirator, climb ladders, enter confined spaces, lift heavy objects and perform other physically demanding tasks
