Utility Locate Technician - $25.50 - $32.00/hr - Duvall, Washington

About the role

ELM Utility Services is seeking a Utility Locate Technician in the Duvall, Washington area. As an essential member of the community, ELM Technicians ensure the reliability and maintenance of gas, electric, and communication systems through accurate and efficient utility marking.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality utility marking to prevent damage during excavation.
• Use advanced LaunchPoint software system for efficiency.
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and whiskers.
• Receive daily tasks via a mobile work system.
• Complete a route of locate requests each day.
• Work on-call rotation and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check.
• Must comply with all Federal Department of Transportation regulations regarding the use of marijuana.

Skills

• Proficiency with LaunchPoint software
• Ability to work independently outdoors
• Knowledge of underground utility systems

Pay

$25.50 - $32.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Working independently outdoors with a company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, completing a route of locate requests each day.
