Utility Locate Technician $25.00-$31.00/hr Rosemout, Minnesota

ELM Utility Services, with a team of over 1,900 employees nationwide, is offering a great opportunity for a Utility Locate Technician in the Rosemount, Minnesota area. Our technicians are essential in their communities, ensuring that gas, electric, and communication systems are dependable and well-maintained through high-quality utility marking to avoid damage during excavation.

Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors using your company-provided vehicle as your mobile office to complete a daily route of locate requests.
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers.
• Use your mobile work system (LaunchPoint software) to receive and manage daily tasks.
• Participate in on-call rotation and work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, Motor Vehicle Record check, and background check.
• High School Diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.

Note: This is a safety-sensitive DOT position that must comply with all Federal Department of Transportation regulations. The use of marijuana (medical or recreational) is prohibited.

Pay

Starting wages for this position will be $25.00–$31.00 per hour, depending on experience.
