Roles & Responsibilities

  • Working independently outdoors with your company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, you will complete a route of locate requests each day
  • Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers
  • Use your mobile work system to receive your daily tasks
  • Must be able to work on-call rotation and overtime as needed. This may include working on nights and weekends when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check
  • High School Diploma or GED & at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license

ELM Utility Services is seeking a Utility Locate Technician in Austin, Texas. ELM Technicians ensure the reliability and maintenance of gas, electric, and communication systems through accurate and efficient utility marking. They utilize advanced LaunchPoint software for increased efficiency.
