About the role

ELM Utility Services is seeking a Utility Locate Technician in the Tucson, Arizona area. As an essential member of the community, ELM Technicians ensure the reliability and maintenance of gas, electric, and communication systems through accurate and efficient utility marking.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality utility marking to avoid damage during excavation
• Use advanced LaunchPoint software system for efficiency
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers
• Receive daily tasks via a mobile work system
• Drive a company-provided vehicle as your mobile office

Requirements

• Pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check
• High School Diploma or GED & at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license

Skills

• Knowledge of underground utility systems
• Proficiency with LaunchPoint software
• Safe and efficient marking techniques
• Ability to operate a company vehicle

Working independently outdoors with a company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, completing a route of locate requests each day.
