Utility Locate Technician $20.00-$30.00/hr Cheyenne, Wyoming

About the role

ELM Utility Services is seeking a Utility Locate Technician in the Cheyenne, Wyoming area. As an essential member of the community, ELM Technicians ensure the reliability and maintenance of gas, electric, and communication systems through accurate and efficient utility marking.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality utility marking to avoid damage during excavation.
• Use advanced LaunchPoint software system for efficiency.
• Complete a route of locate requests each day.
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers.
• Receive daily tasks via a mobile work system.
• Work on-call rotation and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age

Skills

• Proficiency with LaunchPoint software
• Knowledge of underground utility locations
• Ability to work independently and on-call

Pay

The salary range for this position is $20.00-$30.00/hr, depending on experience.

Schedule

Working independently outdoors with a company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, you will complete a route of locate requests each day.
