Utility Laborer

Archer Western Construction, LLC is seeking a Utility Laborer for the WMW/Central Valley WRF in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role performs tasks involving physical labor on construction jobsites, including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects. May operate hand and/or power tools as needed and prepare sites or assist with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks involving physical labor as instructed by supervisor
• Work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management
• Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches
• Load and unload construction supplies around the worksite manually and with the use of equipment

Requirements

• 1 year of verifiable experience preferred
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
