Responsibilities
- Review project plans, drawings, and utility records to identify potential utility conflicts.
- Coordinate with utility owners to mark their facilities accurately within the project area.
- Conduct site visits and visual inspections to verify marked utility locations.
- Monitor excavation activities to ensure proper clearance and facility protection.
- Document and report utility strikes or damages promptly.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with construction crews and project managers to resolve utility conflicts.
- Prepare detailed records and reports on utility-related activities.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in utility locating, construction inspection, or related field.
- Familiarity with utility mapping systems, locating equipment, and marking standards.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and safety practices.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and traverse construction sites safely.
