Responsibilities
- Monitor and document daily construction activities at the facility site, ensuring compliance with client specs, DOT/PHMSA regulations, and approved drawings
- Inspect welding, coating, and mechanical installation work as applicable to facility scope
- Verify proper installation of above-ground and below-ground piping, valves, and appurtenances
- Review and maintain daily reports, inspection logs, and non-conformance documentation
- Cookordinate with client representatives, contractors, and project management on quality and safety matters
- Conduct or support safety walks, JSAs, and toolbox talks
- Ensure all work aligns with OQ requirements and applicable ASME/API codes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience inspecting gas facility, compressor station, or meter station construction
- API 1169 certification preferred
- OQ qualifications in relevant covered tasks
- Working knowledge of PHMSA/DOT regulations for gas facilities
- NACE/AMPP coating inspection certification a plus
- Strong written communication skills for daily reporting
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel to remote site locations
