About the role

Inspect water mains and structures for structural soundness and safety compliance. Document inspection results, noting any deterioration, structural conditions, and discrepancies. Monitor construction progress and contribute to status reports. Oversee and coordinate construction-related services on projects. Conduct on-site investigations and review relevant data, including maps, reports, and drawings. Ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations, including safety and permit requirements. Deliver technical files and documentation as required.

Responsibilities

Inspect water mains and structures for structural soundness and safety compliance.
Document inspection results, noting any deterioration, structural conditions, and discrepancies.
Maintain records and report findings to management.
Contribute to status reports and project updates.
Oversee and coordinate construction-related services on projects.
Conduct on-site investigations and review relevant data, including maps, reports, and drawings.
Ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations, including safety and permit requirements.
Deliver technical files and documentation as required.

Requirements

1+ years of construction or engineering inspection experience.
OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of construction and engineering practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay and Schedule

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
This is a Contract position based out of Scotch Plains, NJ.
