Responsibilities

• Measure and cut pipe to specified length based on sketches, identification labels, and/or blueprints.
• Use strong math skills to correctly handle and prepare pipe.
• Assemble/make-on couplings/fittings as applicable and ensure they are assembled to print/sketch.
• Review job information sheets and technical instructions and process material accordingly.
• Operate the pneumatic tensioner and crimper when applicable.
• Perform Quality Control (QC) procedures such as dye penetrant testing on welds, inspection of grooves, and prep/painting of rusty or welded materials; alert Quality Control Supervisor of discrepancies but handle issues within range of knowledge and training.
• Offload pipe daily and transport to the correct location.
• Call in pipe from the yard.
• Handle chemicals safely.
• Input information into the computer system and interpret data to perform the job accurately.
• Load and unload trucks as needed.
• Assist in bundling pipe, as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Technical or trade school training is a plus.
• Previous warehouse experience is required.
• Previous tow motor experience is required.
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds is required.
• Basic computer skills are required.
