Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or another related field
8+ years of related water/wastewater experience
Construction phase experience is desired
Professional Engineer’s license in VA is preferred, will consider other states with the commitment of obtaining a Virginia PE within 6 months of starting employment
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (and/or similar design software)
Experience with utility modeling software (e.g., WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS) a plus
Demonstrated ability to lead design tasks, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with clients and permitting agencies
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Prepare civil design plans, profiles, and details and serve as a technical lead for water and wastewater utility projects;

Perform hydraulic modeling and capacity analysis for water and sewer systems (as applicable).

Support and manage permitting efforts by preparing submittals and coordinating with local and state agencies.

Conduct site visits to support design development and construction-phase services.

Collaborate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, clients and other engineering disciplines to support project delivery.

Ensure design work complies with applicable codes, standards, and municipal requirements.

Aid in proposal development and scope definition for new opportunities, as needed.

The role is eligible for an annual bonus, with a target 2% of the employee's annualized salary.
