Key Responsibilities
- Planning, evaluating, and designing wastewater collection systems as well as natural gas and water distribution systems.
- Ensuring quality assurance and control across all phases of civil engineering.
- Conducting system planning and modeling.
- Oversight of project management, coordination, and inspection for gas and water systems.
- Support for wastewater collection systems as needed.
Scope of Work

- Construction, flow and pressure testing
- Compliance/regulatory functions for gas, water, and/or wastewater utility systems
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor degree (B.S.) in Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering field from an accredited college or university with 2-4 years of related engineering experience with gas, water, and/or wastewater utility systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel).
- Ability to use specialized software applications for ESRI GIS, customer inquiries, modeling mapping, GPS, and pretreatment.
- Knowledge of routine and complex mathematical equations relevant to Civil, Environmental, and/or Mechanical Engineering tasks.
- Valid Alabama Driver's License; CPR/First Aid Certification; Customer Service Skills and applicable safety training as scheduled.
