Responsibilities

• Remove soiled plates and flatware from tables, wash them thoroughly, and restock items.
• Unload delivery trucks and help prepare cook stations.
• Clean appliances and machines, empty and clean trash receptacles, and perform other duties as needed.
• Maintain a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving conflicts calmly and poise.
• Promote a positive work environment by interacting with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
• Have thorough knowledge of menus and the preparation required, according to hotel standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen to facilitate high volume production.
• Label and stock ingredients on shelves for easy access.
• Measure and prepare cooking ingredients, set up workstations, and prepare simple dishes.
• Prepare and display buffet food items according to hotel standards.
• Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working area, complying with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
• Complete necessary food and station preparation before the restaurant opens.
• Perform basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
• Ensure proper storage of food and other items.
• Follow recipes, measure, weigh, and mix ingredients as required.
• Bake, grill, steam, and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods.
• Comply with all sanitary practices and maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working area.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of dishwashing or kitchen experience, with hospitality industry experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret instructions and communicate effectively in English.
• Knowledge of reservation and POS systems.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of operating software.
• Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
• Team player attitude.
