About the role

Responsibilities
- Remove soiled plates and flatware from tables, wash them thoroughly, and restock items.
- Unload delivery trucks and help prepare cook stations.
- Clean appliances and machines, empty and clean trash receptacles, and perform other duties as needed.
- Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
- Address and resolve conflicts in a calm and poised manner.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menus and preparation requirements according to hotel standards.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized to support high-volume production.
- Label and stock ingredients on shelves for easy access.
- Measure and prepare cooking ingredients, set up workstations, and prepare simple dishes.
- Prepare and display buffet food items according to hotel standards.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
- Ensure proper storage of food and other items.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
- Prepare and display food items before the restaurant opens to ensure prompt and efficient service.
- Perform basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
- Follow recipes, measure, weigh, and mix ingredients.
- Bake, grill, steam, and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods.
- Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working area and adhere to all sanitary practices.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of dishwashing or kitchen experience, with hospitality industry experience preferred.
- Ability to interpret instructions in various forms (written, oral, scheduled).
- Effective communication skills in English to interact with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of reservation and POS systems.
- Good computer skills and knowledge of operating software.
- Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
- Team player attitude.
