Utility Crew Pipe Mainline Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate all heavy equipment safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors
• Perform daily equipment inspections
• Excavate mainline trenches in and around utilities
• Trench and set mainline trench boxes in accordance to OSHA standards
• Understand and implement the proper rigging for all materials being lowered into the trench
• Perform tasks such as standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground, shoveling, and raking
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

• Willing to work flexible shifts
• Willing to work in all weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Communicate and work with others in a high-stress environment
• Implement company & industry safety policies to ensure a consistently safe working environment
