Responsibilities
- Operate all heavy equipment safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors
- Perform daily equipment inspections
- Excavate mainline trenches in and around utilities
- Trench and set mainline trench boxes in accordance to OSHA standards
- Understand and implement the proper rigging for all materials being lowered into the trench
- Perform tasks such as standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground, shoveling, and raking
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
- Willing to work flexible shifts
- Valid driver’s license but a CDL is preferred
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Communicate and work with others in a high-stress environment
- Implement company and industry safety policies to ensure a consistently safe working environment
