Utility Crew Member

About the role

Crew members enjoy travel and working outdoors. Our crews perform specialized work and assist the Foreman with utility pole inspection, treatment, and restoration. You will utilize special equipment to excavate ground material around utility poles, and after the Foreman completes the inspection, apply wood preservatives to the ground-line area of a pole.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a safe and efficient manner utilizing all required safety equipment (hard hat, safety vest, above-ankle lace-up Electrical Hazard (EH) rated work boots, etc.)
• Hand-dig 18-inch holes around utility poles
• Apply wood preservatives to the ground-line area of a pole
• Achieve and maintain acceptable levels of productivity and quality of work based on job norms and in comparison to fellow employees
• Perform all other reasonable duties as assigned by the Foreman

Intensive manual labor is required.

Schedule

• Current Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Typical Schedule when working out of state: Monday - following Wednesday (9 days on, 4-5 days off)
