Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with INDOT and Municipal clients, Project Managers, Design Engineers, and Utility stakeholders on transportation improvement projects.
- Evaluate Bridge/Roadway project plans for accurate utility information and evaluate conflicts.
- Track utility responses and due dates to keep projects on schedule.
- Prepare and update Utility Relocation Drawings and Project Gantt Charts.
- Track utility relocations as needed on projects.
- Maintain relationships with utility partners from the beginning of the project until the project has been completed.
- Prepare risk assessments and conflict analysis for projects.
- Able to facilitate meetings between clients and utility partners.
Desired Skills and Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional work experience with INDOT or Transportation industry or utility industry
- INDOT Certified Utility Coordinator or ability to become certified
- Working knowledge of INDOT Design Manual standards, specifications, and procedures
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD and Revu Bluebeam
- Strong Organization and Communication skills
Preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar degree
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License
- Understanding of Utility Locating Equipment and 811 processes
- Working knowledge of Subsurface Utility Engineering and ASCE 38 Standards
- Working knowledge of INDOT Utility Management System (UMS)
- Understanding of INDOT Reimbursable Agreement Processes
